Life Cycle
Traceability Demonstration Beer Brewing System
Heating and Measuring
The brewer can adjust the heater, pump, or valves to
change the temperature of the mash. Manually setting the brew temperature
causes the heating coils to heat until the set temperature is reached.

An independent temperature
monitoring system is controlled by a computer. A temperature sensor
samples the actual temperature, and compares this against the expected
temperature set in the specified brewing profile. During the brewing
process, the expected temperature moves through the brewing profile. If
the actual temperature is outside of the expected temperature (by a preset
margin), then an alarm is sounded.
